Welcome to the Southbay Ski Club Over 50 Years of Fun in the Sierra!!!
We are an incorporated, non-profit recreational/social club composed of a diverse group of people from around Silicon Valley. We are downhill and crosscountry skiers and snowboarders, as well as backpackers, hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. We have been having fun in the Sierras for over 50 years now! We own the lodge shown at right and use it all year long. Members can make reservations by phone or e-mail. The lodge holds up to 19 people but it is rarely full. The Southbay Ski Club is a member of the Bay Area Snow Sports Coucil (BAC). Their website is at BAC They offer discount lift tickets, safety info, ski trips, support several charities and a whole lot more. Check them out. News Our 2009/2010 Annual kickoff party was held at Vasona Lake County Park in Los Gatos on Sunday Oct 4 from 1pm to 5pm. Thirty-four members and 8 guests enjoyed BBQ'd chicken, skirt steak, hot dogs and Portobello mushrooms as well as numeous salads and desserts. Yum, yum! people came this year and a great time was had by all. Special thanks to Andrew and Ted for their help with the cooking! It was a grat day. Our first meeting of the year will be on Tuesday November 3, at Denny's. Directions and times are listed below. See Picture Page for pictures of last years party as well as prior years parties. Meeting Our regular club meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month starting on November 3rd this year and continuing every first Tuesday until May 2010 . See below for more details. All are welcome.

Meetings for 2008/9 will be at Denny's at 6:30pm for socializing and 7pm for dinner and business meeting at Denny's 1140 Hillsdale Ave San Jose, CA 95118 (408) 266-6299

From Hwy 17, take the Camden Ave offramp and go East.
After 1.5 miles the road splits into Hillsdale on the left and Camden on the right.
Take the left fork and continue for 2.5 additional miles (4 total). You will see some strange red, white and blue things in the center divide and an overpass (Almaden Blvd) in front of you .
Denny's is on the right just before the overpass.
From Hwy 85 exit at Almaden Expwy and go 1.4 miles North to Hillsdale. Make three rights to get on Hillsdale going West and make a u-turn as soon as you can. Denny's will be on your right as above.
From Hwy 87 exit at Capitol Expressway Auto Mall and go 1 mile west and make a u-turn just after passing under Almaden as above.
Meetings are on the first Tuesday of each month from November through May.
